Color grading is the creative and technical post-production process of shaping the color, contrast and tonal range of video footage, covering primary correction, secondary work, custom LUT creation and consistent look development across multi-camera projects.
Color is the difference between footage that was shot and footage that was crafted. A great grade can make a phone-shot interview feel cinematic and a poor grade can make Alexa footage look amateur. Our colorists are DaVinci Resolve specialists with experience across commercial, documentary, narrative and creator work.
We separate color correction from color grading because the two pursue different goals. Correction is technical: balancing exposure, white balance, skin tones and continuity across cameras. Grading is creative: building a deliberate look that supports the story, brand or mood. Both happen on every project, in that order.
For ongoing brands we develop a custom LUT and a written color bible: target ranges for skin, brand color targets, hue rotation rules and contrast curves. Once locked, the LUT and bible mean every editor on every future project hits the same look without rebuilding from scratch.
